Thanks to the chairman and the committee for holding last night's Q&A.

It was a positive and productive meeting and I came away assured that Salford is an ambitious club lusting for promotion, with an increasingly healthy youth-team and reserves set up, and very keen to build on the club's rising support base.
Cheers, Pete

More info about Q&A evening and any future plans for other meetings can be found on the Forum

Q&A Evening
Don't forget to attend the Q&A evening at Moor Lane on Tuesday 8th April! A chance to put your questions to the club and team management. It is also a time to show support as the season draws to a close and City still sit on the possibility of promotion (if 2 are to go up)

Supporters Committee Rep

Mark (Van) Percy has recently taken on the role of sitting in at the club committee meetings as a representative for SCFC supporters. If any supporter of SCFC has anything they would like to bring to the club via the committee then please contact Mark by email on: splodgewalletwhat@hotmail.co.uk

Re-Turner

Tommy Turner has returned to SCFC. He made a return debut with 2 goals for the 1st team away to Nelson in NWCFL Div 1. Welcome back Tommy!

City Celebrating 1000th Game

Atherton Colls match on Mon 18th Feb was City's 1000th game, and a team photo was taken before the kick of the match. An official commemoration of the occasion will be made before the kick-off of Saturdays game at Moor lane v Maine Road (23rd feb, KO 3pm).

Player departures and arrivals 19/02/08

Both 1st team and reserves striker Tommy Turner and keeper Andrew Robertson have now moved on from SCFC. We would like to wish them all the best in their future clubs – many thanks lads for the time spent with SCFC! And we are delighted to welcome back to the club and back into City’s 1st team again, defender Andy Pendlebury!

Knocked down, but not all out! 16/02/08
City are out of the VodKat League Challenge Cup! Knocked out by Winsford Utd at Winsford's Barton Stadium by 2 goals to 0. We clearly struggled against a tightly organised Winsford side, and with City missing key players such as Sean Whitehead, Lathan Forrester, Tommy Turner and keeper Andrew Robertson it was plain to see why that this was not up to the standards of the kind of performace we are used to seeing from the lads in tangerine.

However, all our focus and efforts can now be on the promotion push up into the Unibond. We are currently 2nd on the league table with games in hand over leaders Newcastle Town who are 1 point clear, and Trafford breathing down our necks in 3rd spot with 1 game in hand over us. It will mean having to maintain consistancy throughout the rest of the season in order to finish top for promotion, with some tough games ahead to include Newcastle away (who beat us at home 1-0) and Trafford both home and away then no game can be taken lightly from now on. Manager Gary Fellows can boast of having a squad with plenty of depth and with talented players, and he is fully commited to making sure Salford clinch the league title this time round. However, on the day of each match it is up to each individual player to believe both in themselves and in Salford City; because let's face it, we definately have what it takes to do it! Up the ammies!!!
